Antenna Test Range Field Service Engineering Manager

The selected field service manager will provide direct technical support to customers remotely or on site, as well as be responsible for coordinating schedules of all field service engineers/technicians. Meeting customers objectives, troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving urgent technical issues in the shortest timeframe on RF / antenna test ranges, anechoic chambers, and SAR measurement systems.
We would like you to have industry experience with RF technologies, Antenna verification and Antenna test & measurement systems, such as Anechoic Chambers / OTA test ranges or SAR testing).
You must reside in the USA, and be fully authorized to work in the US. At this time we will not consider sponsoring Visa applications

· You will take ownership of technical issues, coordinate field service operations, oversee and manage several direct reports.
· Must possess great interpersonal skills
· You should be a customer oriented individual since this position will have significant customer interfacing. The ability to understand customers problems, and resolve issues in a diplomatic manor
· Must have above average organizational skills
· Must possess excellent computer skills, including knowledge of MS office and other common computer SW products (C# programming and Matlab experience are a plus).

Ø This is a field oriented position, requiring 40%-60% travel
Ø This position is a growth oriented opportunity, and will give the candidate an opportunity to grow their knowledge within Telecommunications, RF technologies, Antenna design, verification, and test & measurement (anechoic chambers) industries, as well as certification procedures.
Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or similar field
- 5+ years of experience in RF or Telecommunication industry
- Fully authorized to work in the US. At this time we will not consider sponsoring any Visa applications
- Knowledge in Radio Frequency and Antenna fields is a plus. Metrology and/or Antenna Measurement experience is highly desired.
- Experience with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and wireless communication protocols and test instruments preferred

Position Details and Duties
o Ensure the cross-functional coordination of technical and commercial activity
o Work on specification and tenders, proposals and / commercial documentation, and demonstrate products' capabilities to potential and existing customers
o Proactively Contact customers and arrange visits to assess system performances, and hardware and software functionalities.
o Identify customer needs and maximize the application of our solutions. Gather customer’s requirements and general feedback, and report to management.
o Provide training to customers as required
o Ability to relate to customers and customer needs at a high technical level, set realistic customer expectations, translate those customer needs to our internal development team, and follow through to ensure a suitable solution is implemented that meets the customer needs
o Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
o Flexibility and adaptability to rapidly adjust tasks and travel priorities, according to customer needs
o Capability and self-motivation to rapidly assimilate information, expand knowledge base, and develop core competencies Applicant should be self-driven, seeking to assume responsibility and follow-through tasks to completion

Be prepared to discuss your knowledge and understanding of:
1. The differences between time domain & frequency domain ?
2. Your use and understanding of signal generators, spectrum analyzers and other pieces of ATE ?
3. The measurement of Gain, and how do you adjust / calculate it ?
4. Your understanding of “dB”
5. Your understanding of signals, frequencies, and power
6. Have you performed calibrations on RF test ranges or RF equipment ?
7. Have you done Field service work, or Applications engineering ?
8. Are you OK with heavy travel ?
9. Your RF background

The selected candidate will benefit from an internal training program and will incorporate close contact & mentoring from senior engineers. Advanced training may also take place periodically in our international headquarters with the Maintenance, Application and Project teams, in order to get appropriate knowledge of processes and details of our products.
