Near-Field Antenna Measurement Systems Engineer

The engineer selected for this requirement must be highly familiar with Near-Field Antenna test and measurement systems, or Radar Cross Section (RCS) Test Ranges, and Anechoic Chambers.
This is a "System architect" and technical lead role which calls for the design and development of Antenna Test Systems (Anechoic Chambers) and RCS measurement Systems.

Requirements and Experience

· US Citizen
· BS in Electrical Engineering minimum (Math, computer engineering or physic will be considered), advanced degree desired

Ø The Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience with Near-field antenna measurements and a solid understanding of near-field theory
Ø Experience with radome and hardware-in-the-loop system a plus.
· Minimum 5 years of total experience in pertinent areas such as:
o RF and Microwave design and test
o Structured programming
o Embedded Systems
o RF Signal processing
Ø Strong understanding of the System Engineering process and ability to scale it based on the size of the project.
Ø Strong oral and written communications skill and ability to confidently present and discuss design solutions with customers.
Ø Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems
Ø Hands on experience with antenna or RCS measurement
Ø Knowledge of mechanical positioning systems and mechanical design process
Ø Travel as needed to customer site – 20%

Job Duties
· Assist in presales discussions with Customers and assist in developing proposals
· Work within a multi-discipline environment and provide a lead role in full system lifecycle including: pre-sales discussions, TIMS, SRR, PDR, CDR, I&T, Site installation, ATP, & training
· Translate customer needs into System Requirements
· Develop BOE’s to support sales team in pricing design solutions
· Allocate system requirements to subsystems, manage requirement through the project duration
· Lead internal peer reviews to ensure design solutions meet system requirements
· Assist Program Manager with the coordination between multi-disciplinary teams including mechanical engineering, software engineering, sales, operations, purchasing, and field service.
· Write factory and on-site acceptance test procedures, perform or oversee and validate acceptance testing
· Lead or contribute in the design and development of custom or standard product subassemblies related to Microwave and Millimeterwave instrumentation systems.
· Prepare and present technical reports to include: trade study results, analysis results, and test results
· Prepare and present technical papers at international symposiums
· Interacts with customers and confidently present technical information throughout the project lifecycle to include: pre-sales discussions, TIMS, SRR, PDR, CDR, I&T, Site installation, ATP, & training.
· Produce drawings, vendor specification, manuals, and training material
· Assist in the development of junior engineers, review the work of junior engineers
· Work with limited supervision

· Know when to clear and concise information is required and recognize when detailed information is required

· Identifying risks and challenges early and working with Program Manager to manage the same
· Giving clear directions to technicians, drafting, technical associates, and associate engineers
