This position requires a strong RF electrical hardware engineer to work as a project or engineering team member responsible for performance of installed systems testing within a large anechoic chamber.

Candidate will support test-related efforts associated with the EMI/EMC test planning and execution supporting EW ground test operations within the Benefield Anechoic Facility (BAF). During chamber test activities candidate will direct and/or conduct tests according to plans, analyze test results and write comprehensive reports. Individual must interface with other engineering disciplines, operations personnel, customer representatives, technicians and other support personnel to satisfy customer test requirements.

  • Provide analytical support to internal/external customers as needed. Applicants must be well versed in RF systems theory and technology and should be able to use a sound Systems Engineering approach to analyze the design and technical performance of various one-of-a-kind systems. The position interfaces with customer personnel and other internal/external organizations on a routine basis. Good technical writing and communication skills required.
  • Experience with database manipulation, spreadsheet utilization, and word processing required. Position requires walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds with occasional overnight support. Individual must possess a professional, courteous, reliable, self-starter attitude.

Desired Qualifications:

BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics with 8 years RF or EMI/EMC test experience with NARTE EMI/EMC Certification. Candidates should be familiar with special test equipment design and design support to qualification tests, especially EMI. Should be experienced test engineer, with background in test planning, requirements definition, cost estimating, qualification test planning, test procedures, test design and conduct to military and commercial standards. It is desirable that the candidate possess experience in system design, installation and other prediction analysis for Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) with installed military systems. Technical project leadership experience desired. In-depth knowledge of Matlab, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint), Microsoft Project and other COTS software packages. Proficiency in a modern test equipment software control language, [link removed] VEE Pro, LabView.



BS degree in Math, Computer Science, Physics, or Electrical Engineering with 5-7 years of RF, RADAR and/or signal analysis experience or 5-10 years RF signals collection/analysis experience in-lieu of degree. Non-degreed applicants must have demonstrated experience as technical ELINT/SIGINT analyst arena. Possess fundamental knowledge of or experience in a majority of the following areas: RADAR, RF propagation, antennas, waveform analysis, RF and microwave solid-state components, analog and digital electronics, signal processing and computer control of test equipment. Proficient with terminology and concepts associated with RF engineering and waveform analysis. Demonstrated capacity to solve technical problems across a variety of technical disciplines. Experience with database manipulation, spreadsheet utilization and word processing required. Good technical writing and communication skills. Additional in-depth knowledge or experience in signal collection systems a must. Position requires walking, bending, stooping and lifting up to 50 pounds with occasional overnight support. Ability to obtain and hold a TS/SSBI security clearance a must. In-depth knowledge of Matlab, all Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Project and other COTS software packages. Proficiency in a modern software programming language.
